Meet our Team

Kelly’s Dream is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of volunteers who understand and care about the challenges facing individuals and families with a cancer diagnosis. They work diligently to ensure the mission of is carried out to its fullest potential.

Kelly O'Donnell Ware

Founder / Executive Director / Board Chair

Kelly founded Kelly's Dream after being diagnosed with late-stage metastatic melanoma. She felt a need to take her journey with cancer and turn it into her life mission.  Her idea became a reality when she hosted her first fundraiser in late 2009.  Kelly's husband, children, and family stood beside her as she embarked on taking it to each new level.  When asked what her drive is behind making Kelly's Dream a success, Kelly replies, "offering hope and support at a personal level when a family is facing a cancer diagnosis and sharing her own journey throughout the community".

Francine (Fran) C. Donaldson, RN, OCN

Treasurer / Director Patient Navigator

Committees: Executive, Financial

Fran has been an oncology nurse for nearly 15 years and currently works at Johns Hopkins Green Spring Medical Oncology. She became involved with Kelly’s Dream when her brother was provided with financial assistance from Kelly’s Dream. Fran has been involved in fundraising for nearly 30 years with the Boy Scouts as well as a number of churches, schools and athletic organizations. Fran currently serves as the Treasurer for Kelly’s Dream.

Erica Givens

Committee: Fundraising

Erica is an experienced licensed title professional with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping people. Her ability to listen and understand clients’ needs is extraordinary. Erica is an active contributor in her church and community and joins Kelly’s Dream with firsthand knowledge of the financial and emotional burden of a cancer diagnosis, as her husband Pat lost his battle with pancreatic cancer.  Erica is dedicated to keeping his memory alive while helping the fundraising efforts of Kelly’s Dream.

Peggy Henschel

Committee: Fundraising

Peggy currently works for the Baltimore County Public School System. Prior to that, she was the Office Manager for a local printing company and served as the firm's Secretary/Treasurer for the Board of Directors. Peggy has years of experience volunteering for many organizations including the PTA, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Raven's Roost and the Let’s Throw Together for Tyler annual fundraiser. Since being inspired by Kelly’s Story back in 2011, Peggy has been involved in a number of roles with Kelly’s Dream. She serves the organization with enthusiasm, empathy and compassion, coupled with communication and organizational skills.

Thomas Marr

Committees: Executive, Financial

Tom has been a volunteer for Kelly’s Dream since 2014 and was named to the Board of Directors in 2018. Tom has been an Investigator for The Maryland Home Improvement Commission since 1993 and their Chief Investigator since 2011. Tom has also served as an inspector for the Baltimore County Liquor Board from 1998 to 2003. He brings a wealth of small business and regulatory knowledge to our board.

Lynda Maguire

Committee: Fundraising

Lynda is an experienced Office Manager in a busy Pediatric and Adult Orthodontic Practice. Lynda goes above and beyond for both employees and clients. Her abilities include a range of administrative, financial, and managerial skills, as well as excellent communication and customer service. Lynda comes to Kelly’s Dream with experience as Chairman of the Board for a local Ravens Roost. Lynda understands the toll a cancer diagnosis takes on not only the patient but the entire family, as her father fought and won a long battle with esophageal cancer. Lynda is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of others affected by cancer.

Dinah Seisman, SPHR

Committees: Executive, Fundraising

Dinah has over 40 years of experience in Human Resources in areas such as strategic planning, operational efficiency, program development and technology. Her most recent position was Director of Human Resources for Consumer Credit Counseling Service of MD and DE where she also served as the Secretary to the Board of Directors. Dinah holds a Bachelor of Arts in business and information technology from Notre Dame of Maryland University. Having lost both parents to cancer, Dinah is dedicated to reducing the incidence of cancer in her community and helping families impacted by this deadly disease.
